The Clarendon Hills Park District is one of several suburban governmental agencies sponsoring a summer teen job fair between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Friday, February 24. This free event will be held at the Westmont Park District, 75 E. Richmond Street. There will be time to chat with recreation staff members from seven local park districts to learn more about seasonal employment during the summer of 2017. This program is designed for teens and young adults ages 15-22. Immediately preceding the job fair, there will be a one hour "Interview/Application Boot Camp" designed to provide tips on completing job applications, preparing a first resume, and landing that dream summer job! Teens will even find out about some of the common mistakes first time job seekers make during the application and interview process. Learn how social media sites can be involved in the job search process! The "Interview/Application Boot Camp" event has a $10.00 resident ($15.00 non-resident) fee. Emily Golembiewski is coordinating the Clarendon Hills Park District's role in this program. She can be reached at 630-323-2626.
