Car Burglaries, Unlawful Use of Alcohol: Hinsdale Blotter

Hinsdale Police reports through July 25.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Unlawful Use Of Alcohol By Persons Under 21

  • A 17-year-old male and a 17-year-old female from Hinsdale were charged with unlawful use of alcohol by person under 21 in the 100 block of North Garfield at 12:35 a.m. July 21. Suspects were referred to a juvenile officer and released to parents.

  • A 17-year-old male from Willowbrook was charged at 7:57 a.m. July 23 with a Class A Misdemeanor for speeding 110 mph in a 55 mph zone at Route 83 and Ogden. Suspect was charged and released to a parent.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

  • Victims reported their tires punctured and slashed while parked in their driveways in the 200 block of West Maple and the 100 block of North Lincoln sometime between 4 a.m. July 21 and 8 a.m. July 24. Two victims reported one punctured tire, one victim reported all four of her tires were punctured.

Burglary to Vehicle

  • Police responded to six reports of burglaries to vehicles in the 800 block of North Madison, 500 block of North Lincoln, 200-400 block of Bonnie Brae Road and the 800 block of South Quincy Street between July 17 and July 24. Items taken include a purse, wallet, cellphone, loose change and money, a watch, laptop and a checkbook. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicles.

Criminal Trespass To Vehicle

  • An unknown suspect entered two vehicles parked in the victim's driveway in the 800 block of North Madison Street and rummaged through the glove boxes and center consoles sometime between 7:15 p.m. July 17 and 6:42 a.m. July 18. Nothing was reported missing, and there were no signs of forced entry.
