Car Burglary, DUI: Hinsdale Police Reports

Hinsdale Police reports through April 17.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Speeding

  • Steven Zaher, 18, of Clarendon Hills, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. April 15 for speeding (misdemeanor) and failure to yield to emergency vehicle. Zaher was stopped for speeding 35 mph+ over the limit.

  • An unknown suspect was seen taking two bottles of champagne valued at $49.99 each from Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden, at 6:45 p.m. April 16. The suspect was described as a black male wearing jeans and a tan suit coat and driving a black Cadillac Escalade.

DUI

  • Michael Kelly, 27, of Elgin, was arrested at 1:49 a.m. April 14 at 55th Street and Route 83 for DUI-alcohol and improper lane use.

  • An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through sometime between 4:30 p.m. April 9 and 7:30 a.m. April 10 in the 400 block of North Washington. $12, registration and insurance cards and a key was reported missing from the car.
