Car Burglary, DUIs, Theft: Hinsdale Police Reports

Hinsdale Police reports through April 10.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Burglary To Vehicle

  • A car was entered and rummaged through sometime between 6 a.m. March 24 and 6 p.m. April 2 in the 400 block of East Sixth Street. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle, there were no signs of forced entry.

Residential Burglary

  • A house was broken into sometime between 1:28 p.m. and 1:35 p.m. April 4 in the 700 block of South Bodin. The glass window on the front door was broken, and the back door was standing open. Dresser drawers and the closet were rummaged through, and jewelry was taken.

Attempted Burglary

  • A key-box was damaged sometime between 7:15 p.m. April 3 and 8 a.m. April 4 in the 200 block of East Ogden. The keys had been removed from the box previously, due to burglaries at other locations.

DUI

  • Richard Martinez, 29, of the 600 block of The Lane, was arrested at 9:44 p.m. April 4 at First and Garfield Avenue for DUI-alcohol and expired registration.
  • Evelyn Meyemberg Romero, 33, of Clarendon Hills, was arrested at 3:42 a.m. April 8 at 55th and Monroe streets for DUI-alcohol, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Theft

  • Two watches were missing after the victim hired a moving company to transport his property in the 5500 block of South Park Avenue sometime between 12 p.m. Dec. 26 and 12 p.m. Feb. 8.

Motor Vehicle Theft

  • Marc Noe, 48, of Glen Ellyn, was arrested for unlawful possession of stolen vehicle, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of ammunition without FOID. Between March 26 and March 29, Noe stole two cars from Fuller's Service Center, 102 W. Chicago Ave. Noe was taken into custody in Glen Ellyn and was in possession of a stolen firearm. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
