Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Lions Park Pool

Come Sail Away with Us on August 6!

Come sail away with the Clarendon Hills Park District! The 3rd Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta returns to the Lions Park Pool at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 6. Pull together a team of up to five people and put your boat building skills to test, creating a vessel made only of cardboard and duct tape. Races will then will held in the Lions Park Lap Pool with two members from each team serving as seaworthy sailors! Prizes will be awarded for the "Fastest Vessel" and "Most Creative Craft." All boat drivers must know how to swim or be fitted with a US Coast Guard approved life jacket. For the very first time this year, the race will offer family and youth divisions. There is a $20.00 fee per craft, which includes a continental breakfast. Please register at the Clarendon Hills Park District, 315 E. Chicago Avenue, no later than August 1.
