Carjacking At Westmont Grocery Store: Police

Supermarket is frequented by Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills residents.

WESTMONT, IL — A carjacking is reported to have taken place last week at a Westmont grocery store that is frequented by Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills residents. The incident was about 2 p.m. Friday in the parking lot at Standard Market, 333 E. Ogden Ave., about a mile west of Hinsdale village limits, police said.

According to a Westmont police news release, two men, one of whom carried a gun, ordered the victim out of the car. The suspects then sped east on Ogden in a dark SUV, along with the victim's car, police said. No injuries were reported.
