Charges Against Hinsdale Woman Thrown Out: Records
The state's attorney decided against prosecuting because the witness did not show up, according to court records.
HINSDALE, IL — A prosecutor earlier this month threw out the charges against a Hinsdale woman involving an incident in the village's downtown.
Jamie Dubrovay, 58, had been charged with domestic battery, criminal trespass to a vehicle, theft and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
On Nov. 10, the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office dropped the charges. The judge closed the case. The online court file said the "complaining witness" did not show up for hearings.

The incident happened about 5:30 p.m. May 22, 2020, on a downtown Hinsdale street. Dubrovay's name was released in the police department's weekly media reports in June 2020.
After Patch published a story based on the police's information, Dubrovay's friends in town emailed the news outlet, saying Dubrovay was a good person who volunteered for local causes. They took Patch to task for its coverage. They said Dubrovay was the victim, not the other way around. And her lawyer contended his client would be found not guilty.
