$5 Million Bail for Man Accused of Brutalizing Willowbrook Woman
Londale Madison of South Bend, Indiana, awaits extradition to DuPage County.

A $5 million bail was set for Londale Madison, 31 of the 1000 block of Calvert Street, South Bend, Indiana, who is accused of stabbing and sexually assaulting a woman in her Willowbrook home on Aug. 29.
Madison faces a maximum sentence of 120 years if he is convicted of all the charges filed against him, which include attempted first degree murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault, home invasion and armed robbery, according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Willowbrook police were called Aug. 29 to a home on 73rd Court for reports of a home invasion. They found a 26-year-old woman had been beaten and stabbed multiple times, according to the state’s attorney’s office. She had fought back against her attacker.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and she is expected to recover fully.
Prosecutors say Madison broke into the woman’s home, sexually assaulted her, beat and stabbed her before fleeing to Indiana.

Madison was arrested Sept. 1 without incident in South Bend after an investigation led by the Willowbrook Police Department and the DuPage County Felony Investigation Assistance Team.
He is being held in the St. Joseph County Jail awaiting extradition to DuPage County, the state’s attorney’s office reported.
