Hinsdale, IL — Twenty-four Hinsdale Central High School seniors were recently announced as semifinalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Competition:

- Thomas Kusak

- Henning Ley
- Marit Ley
- Joseph Marek
- Sean Millman
- Kaitlin Mrksich
- Benjamin Newton
- Derek Song
- John Tischke
- Jessie Wang
- Katherine Wilson
- Aileen Yang
- Kaitlyn Zhu
They will now have the opportunity to advance in the competition and be considered for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be offered next spring, according to a news release.
