Chicago's Passenger Stations in the Golden Age of Rail
Historian David Clark visits Clarendon Hills Library

For more than a hundred years, from just after the Civil War until the rise of airline travel in the 1960s, just about anyone traveling any distance across the United States probably passed through one of the six passenger stations in Chicago.
On Monday, May 9th at 7 pm the Clarendon Hills Library welcomes historian David Clark who will take the audience back to the Golden Age of Rail—specifically to the historic passenger stations of Chicago that teemed with travelers for decades.
Through vintage photos and stories, the unique “personalities” of these great stations will be revealed.
