CHMS Foods Class Hosts Cupcake Wars

Eighth graders in the Clarendon Hills Middle School Foods II class enjoyed a new, and delicious, culminating project - Cupcake Wars. Mirroring the popular Food Network TV show, students worked in teams to design, cook, and present themed cupcakes to students and staff who judged the desserts against a rubric. Team projects were rated on professionalism and presentation, taste, and appearance and theme, which included concepts like "fireworks," "Starbucks," and "The Simpsons."
