CHMS Students Volunteer at Ronald McDonald House

CHMS students recently volunteered to prepare and cook dinner for families staying at a local Ronald McDonald House.

CHMS students recently volunteered to prepare and cook dinner for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House located near Loyola University Hospital in Hines, Illinois. Ronald McDonald House Charities is a non-profit organization that provides a "home-away-from-home" at little or no cost to families to enable them to be close to medical care being provided to their children. This is one of three scheduled trips to Ronald McDonald House that CHMS students will make this school year. "I feel lucky to work at a school that not only teaches and models empathy and kindness daily, but that also gives students great opportunities to put the power of empathy into action," said Ele Santini, CHMS Social Worker and coordinator for this program.
