CHMS Visited by Real Knight

Students at Clarendon Hills Middle School were visited by a real knight as part of a lesson on medieval history.

Sixth graders at Clarendon Hills Middle School have been studying Medieval history as part of the social studies and language arts curriculum, which includes learning about chivalry, knights, squires, and the middle ages. In language arts, students read the novel “Squire’s Tale.” In an effort to bring this unit alive for students, teachers welcomed a real knight to come to CHMS. Sir Karl Kindt III spoke with students about the job of knights, and the real meaning of bravery and chivalry.
