Christ Lutheran Church to collect for Souperbowl of Caring Food Drive

The Souper Bowl of Caring is a national movement across the nation working together to fight hunger and poverty in their communities around the time of the Super Bowl football game.

Christ Lutheran Church of Clarendon Hills has supported this movement for over 10 years and continues to want to give back to our community. In spite of being in one of the more affluent suburbs of Chicago, the number of families struggling to put good food on their tables continues to grow. On Saturday, February 11th members of Christ Lutheran Church will be collecting food and cash donations to support the Hinsdale Community Services Food Pantry at a time of year when the pantry shelves are depleted.

The HCS was founded in 1937 as Hinsdale Community Services as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Today HCS Family Services provides emergency food for people in need living in southeast DuPage County and far western Cook County, Illinois, where one in six children faces hunger. In addition, we also provide social service referrals.

Please come out and support Christ Lutheran Church of Clarendon Hills at the Jewel Food Store on 55th and Holmes in Clarendon Hill on Saturday February 11, 2023 and make a food or cash donation to this great cause.
