Clarendon Hills At Exactly 1,000 Virus Cases: Agencies
The number of local coronavirus deaths remained the same in the last week.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills are seeing low numbers of new coronavirus cases, according to county agencies.
As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 1,874 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic, up 11 in the last week. The week before last, the village experienced 13 new cases.
Meanwhile, Clarendon Hills reached 1,000 coronavirus cases, up five in the last week. The week before last, it recorded seven new cases.

Hinsdale saw no new coronavirus deaths in the last week, with the total at 61 since the pandemic's beginning, according to county agencies. Clarendon Hills' number of deaths stayed the same in the last week, at 13.

As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 106 coronavirus cases per thousand people since the pandemic's beginning. The figure compares to 93 in Darien, 102 in La Grange Park, 106 in DuPage County, 109 in Elmhurst, 114 in Clarendon Hills, 115 in Western Springs, 116 in suburban Cook County, 118 in Burr Ridge and 135 in La Grange (including unincorporated La Grange Highlands).
As of Sunday, Illinois' coronavirus case count increased to 1,665,777, according to the state Department of Public Health. The number of confirmed deaths so far is 25,407.
Nationally, 44.8 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported, according to the Centers for Disease Control. A total of 722,212 people have died from the virus in the United States.
