Clarendon Hills Library Unveils Tiny Art Exhibit
Residents create 4" by 4" creations for library art show

The exhibit is not tiny, but the art is!
Late last year, the Clarendon Hills Library announced it would hold an exhibit of art submitted by residents--its first “Tiny Art” Show. The library supplied a 4” by 4” canvas, a small set of acrylic paints and a paintbrush to anyone who requested them. Having never tried something like this before, the library staff had no idea how many entries to expect.
When the January 17 deadline arrived, 22 residents had entered their tiny masterpieces in the show. Library Director Lori Craft was delighted with the response. She commented, “I am so impressed with the artwork that was created for the library’s Community Tiny Art Show. It is clear that the only tiny thing about this art is the canvas size and not the talent or imagination of the artists.”

The show features landscapes, still life, animal portraits and even a 3-D piece and a decoupaged canvas, all created by Clarendon Hills residents.
The Tiny Art Show will be on display at the library through the end of February.
