CLARENDON HILLS, IL – Some have wondered whether Clarendon Hills Trustee Greg Jordan lives in town.

He said he does. He pays property taxes on a house in the village and takes the owner-occupied tax exemption, indicating he lives in the home.

He also took part in village meetings through video conferencing.

"I didn't make any secret that I was in Florida," Jordan told Patch in an interview Thursday. "Because of COVID, I could participate in the meetings and vote regardless of where I was. I'm not a Florida resident. I'm committed to being a trustee."

Even though Jordan has been in Florida, he has been the only elected official, including the village president, who has responded to Patch's messages.
