The Clarendon Hills Park District will begin to accept applications for summer employment in early January. Applications may be downloaded at www.clarendonhillsparkdistrict.org or may be picked up between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the Community Center, 315 E. Chicago Avenue. This year, the Clarendon Hills Park District expects to hire lifeguards, swim lesson instructors, pool admissions staff and camp counselors. Swim instructors must be at least 15 years of age, while all other jobs require that applicants be at least 16 years of age. The Clarendon Hills Park District will also be participating in a Teen Job Fair between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, February 23 at the Westmont Park District, 75 E. Richmond Street. This event is free of charge and open to applicants between the ages of 15 and 22. Teens that feel they may need some additional information as they search for a summer job are encouraged to register for the Interview/Application Boot Camp which will be held between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, also at the Westmont Park District. Gain valuable information on preparing a resume or completing an application. Learn about the mistakes job applicants often make in the interviewing or application process.
