Clarendon Hills Park District: Adult Trip to Driehaus Museum
Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times (Thursday, April 21)
The Clarendon Hills Park District adult group will visit downtown Chicago on Thursday, April 21 for a visit to the Richard H. Driehaus Museum and its current exhibit "Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion For Changing Times." This exhibit features more than 35 costumes from the popular British television series "Downton Abbey." The award-winning costumes were produced by the renowned London costume house Cosprop Ltd. and use original fabrics and embellishments from the early 20th century, while others were recreated from old photographs, paintings, patterns, and magazine pictures. This self-guided tour also allows visitors to tour the historic Driehaus mansion and museum. The $87.00 fee includes deluxe transportation, admission to the Driehaus museum and a delicious lunch at Lawry's Prime Rib. Please register at the Clarendon Hills Park District, 315 E. Chicago Avenue, no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, April 4. All transportation for the trip will depart from and return to the Church of the Holy Nativity at 275 S. Richmond in Clarendon Hills.
