Clarendon Hills Park District Partners with The Birches for Teen Service Project

Students Show Their Concern for Area Seniors

Teens and tweens looking for a way to "give back" on one of their very last days of winter break will want to register for The Birches Assisted Living Service Project being presented by the Clarendon Hills Park District and this local residential community for seniors. This event will take place between 10 a.m. and noon on Friday, January 6 at The Birches Assisted Living, 215 55th Street, Clarendon Hills. Students between the ages of 12-17 will participate in recreational and social activities designed to enable residents of The Birches to live a vibrant and socially active life. There will be plenty of time to chat with residents of The Birches, while fulfilling community service hours. This program is free of charge, however, all participants must register at the Clarendon Hills Park District, 315 E. Chicago Avenue, by 5 p.m. on January 3. A member of the Clarendon Hills Park District's recreation staff will be on hand for this program. This is a way to "make a difference" close to home at the start of the New Year! For more information, please contact Emily Golembiewski at the Clarendon Hills Park District, 630-323-2626.
