CLARENDON HILLS, IL — A Clarendon Hills woman is running in the Chicago Triathlon in honor of a young woman who passed away in her sleep. Deneen Castellon, 49, of Clarendon Hills, was a family friend of Abbey Bott, who passed away in her sleep, during her freshman year at Indiana University.
"I have run the past three years for Abbey in marathons," Castellon said. "I thought this year it would be nice to run as a team for Abbey."
She added her brother is swimming, her husband is biking, and Castellon will be running.

"I took up running much later in life," Castellon said. "My first marathon was for Abbey and helping keep her memory alive."
Castellon said she doesn't have a specific goal for the triathlon, since they are running as a team.
