Clinic Thefts, Battery Of Cop: Hinsdale Police
Employees at two clinics reported their personal items were stolen in recent days.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:
Clinic thefts
- An employee at West Coast Men's Health, 907 N. Elm St., told police that $98 in cash and credit cards were stolen from her backpack between 1:30 p.m. and 1:50 p.m. Thursday.
- An employee at Modern Pain Consultants, 907 N. Elm St., told police that her wallet, which contained $20 in cash and credit cards, was stolen while she was working. The theft occurred between 12:30 p.m. Dec. 28 and 2 p.m. Dec. 29. She reported a $505 fraudulent charge on her credit card.

- Bryan K. Bylaitis-Pruim, 31, of Wauconda, was arrested shortly after midnight Friday near Route 83 and 22nd Street on charges of DUI, battery, speeding and possession of open alcohol by a driver. According to a police report, Bylaitis-Pruim made contact of an "insulting/provoking nature" with a police officer while in booking. He was in possession of an open container of alcohol. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 5500 block of South Elm Street told police Dec. 28 about unauthorized activity on her savings account between Dec. 20 and Dec. 27.
- A resident in the 800 block of South Clay Street was contacted Dec. 29 by a person claiming to be a cable-internet service representative. The person directed the resident to a PayPal link to pay for a service charge of $150. The resident sent the money, but later learned it was a scam.
