This Closed Hinsdale Restaurant May Return
The eatery is expected to be closed through the rest of 2021.
HINSDALE, IL — Dips & Dogs, a fast foot restaurant in Hinsdale, is listed on Google as permanently closed. But officials said at a Hinsdale Village Board meeting last month that it is expected to reopen next year.
Dips & Dogs, 50 S. Garfield St., is slated to remain closed through the rest of 2021. At the board meeting, the issue came up when trustees needed to approve an arrangement in which the neighboring Fuller House restaurant would use space at Dips & Dogs for outdoor dining.
Referring to Dips & Dogs, Village President Tom Cauley said, "I always liked the place. I hate to see it close."

Assistant Village Manager Brad Bloom said he had spoken with the restaurant's operator and learned there were no plans to open it this year. He said the operator planned to reopen in 2022, but wasn't sure if it would be carryout only.
On its Facebook page, Dips & Dogs described itself as offering Vienna hot dogs, fresh cut french fries and ice cream, among other menu items.
