Converter Stolen In Daylight In Hinsdale: Cops

The car part was removed by a man, whose description was released.

Converter theft

  • A catalytic converter was stolen about 2 p.m. Friday from a car in the Kensington School parking lot, 540 W. Ogden Ave. The suspect was described as a white male, having long black hair and wearing all black. He left in a black Pontiac sedan. The case is pending.

Scam

  • A resident in the 700 block of Wilson Lane told police Thursday about being scammed out of money on social media by a stranger. The case is pending.

Damage

  • Someone damaged a shed about 6 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of Oak Elementary School, 950 S. Oak St.

  • Two cars were burglarized overnight Wednesday in driveways in the 500 and 600 blocks of North Washington Street. The interiors were rummaged through. Nothing was reported stolen.
