D-86, Other Schools Closing Thursday
Heavy snow and freezing rain is in the forecast. District 86 is going remote.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale High School District 86 and its feeder school districts will be closed for in-person learning Thursday because of heavy snow and freezing rain in the forecast, officials said.
In a mass email, District 86 said it decided to make Thursday an emergency e-learning day.
For athletics, the district said it will hold no morning practices. However, coaches will let students know about their plans for afternoon and evening events, the email said.

The district expects to return to in-person learning Friday. But the district asked families to continue monitoring email, social media and the district's family of websites for updates on weather and its impact on school operations.
