D181 board OKs new Director of Communications

Jamie Lavigueur to join staff July 1

A veteran communications professional and former journalist is the new Director of Communications for Community Consolidated School District 181, effective July 1.

Jamie Lavigueur, currently the Assistant Director of Communications for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, succeeds Bridget McGuiggan who left the position in February.

“Jamie brings with her the type of experience an elite school district like D181 needs to maintain a high level of communication between the district and the community, staff and students,” said incoming D181 Superintendent Dr. Hector Garcia, who led the search for a new Director.
