D181 Board Member Resigns Due to Relocation
Applications to fill the vacant board seat accepted through 4 p.m. Aug. 31

At the Tuesday, August 14, District 181 Board of Education meeting, Board Member Leslie Gray announced her resignation due to relocation outside of the district, effective August 15. The board expressed its gratitude for Gray's tenure, which began in 2015. She served as Board Vice President, chaired the board's Academic Success Committee, and served as the board liaison for policy.
"It is hard to find people who work hard and work smart, let alone do it as a volunteer for the good of the community," said Board President Jennifer Burns. "Leslie has been critical to positioning District 181 for long-term success and she will be missed."
Board members wished Gray well and lauded her attention to detail, dedication to students, and conscientiousness on behalf of taxpayers.
