Darien Woman Charged In Hinsdale Hit-And-Run: Police

The woman was accused of fleeing the crash without leaving her information, according to a report.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Hit-and-run

  • A 67-year-old woman from Darien was arrested about 8 a.m. Friday on charges of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to give information at an attended accident involving vehicle damage. The crash was at Ogden Avenue and Adams Street. The victim said the woman fled the crash without leaving her information. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

Theft

  • A man told police that he mailed checks on Sept. 8 and Oct. 4 via certified mail at the Hinsdale post office, 109 Symonds Ave. The man also reported a forged check using his bank account information. The reports were filed Friday.

Damage

  • Someone damaged a soap dispenser in a restroom at Veeck Park, 701 Chicago Ave. The report was filed Thursday.
