Disorderly Conduct, Burglary: Hinsdale Cops

A Hinsdale man was charged after he tried to enter a home where an argument was apparently happening, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Disorderly conduct

  • Grant L. Miller, 66, of Hinsdale, was cited about 9 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of 59th St. on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police said Miller tried to enter an apartment after he apparently heard a fight. A person in the apartment pushed the door closed to prevent Miller from getting in. Miller was released and given a date to appear in court.

House burglary

  • A house was burglarized between 9 a.m. Friday and 8 p.m. Saturday from a house in the 10 block of West 55th Street. Jewelry was stolen. The residents were not home during the burglary. The case is pending.

Porch piracy

  • Two packages were stolen from the front porch of a house between 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Bonnie Brae Road.

  • Someone stole liquor valued at $387 about 12:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at Whole Foods Market, 500 E. Ogden Ave. Employees saw the person take bottles off the shelves and leave without paying. The case is pending.

Order of protection violation

  • A resident in the 800 block of South Madison Street told police Wednesday that a person had been calling her phone in violation of an order of protection. The calls were from Nov. 2 to Nov. 8.
