District 181 Schools Welcome Veterans for Student Assemblies

In honor of Veterans Day, the schools of District 181 welcomed Veterans as special guests for various school assemblies. Veterans in attendance were asked to share their stories with the K-8 children, while students performed songs, read poems, and wore red poppies in their honor. Schools also highlighted different ways that families can support Veterans through service and by expressing their gratitude.
