District 181 Seeking Members for Finance Committee
The District 181 Board of Education is seeking parent and community representatives to join its Finance Committee.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL - The District 181 Board of Education is seeking parent and community representatives to join its Finance Committee. The committee provides input on major revenues, expenses, investment practices, and policies related to the management of district finances.
The district said specifically, the committee provides guidance on the financing of strategic initiatives and district goals, represents external and internal perspectives to assure progressive improvements in district finances, discusses the budget and tax levy, and engages in benchmarking with similar districts, among other tasks.
You can pick up an application for committee membership at the District Administration Center, 115 W. 55th Street, or online at www.d181.org > District > Committees. Completed applications are due no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, May 5.

The Finance Committee usually meets one Thursday each month, starting at 4 p.m. The first meeting will be on June 1.
The district said the anticipated time commitment for committee members includes approximately four hours per month, including two hours of meeting time and two hours of meeting preparation.

"The Board Finance Committee brings together board members, administrators, staff, parents, and residents. It is an opportunity to hear from our stakeholders and welcome their expertise and input on financial matters," said Superintendent Dr. Don White.
