District 86 Receives Financial Certificate Of Excellence

District 86 earned the certificate which recognizes districts that have met the program's high standards for financial reporting.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale Township High School District 86 announced that its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending 2017 has received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International.

According to ASBO, District 86 earned the Certificate of Excellence which recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability. By participating in the COE program, school districts demonstrate their commitment to financial transparency. Applicants submit their CAFR for review by a team of professional auditors, who provide feedback to improve future documents. A district’s participation in the COE program can facilitate bond rating and continuing bond disclosure processes.

“Now that we have received this Certificate of Excellence, and just a few weeks ago the Meritorious Budget Award, I think I can safely say our Business Office has produced some outstanding work,” District 86 Chief Financial Officer Josh Stephenson said in a release. “My team and I have a strong commitment to transparency and we work very hard every year to provide our community with high-quality financial information. We are so proud to be recognized for our efforts and we hope the community will take the time to review this important information.”
