Dog Attack, Identity Theft: Hinsdale Cops
The owner of the offending dog walks away after the attack, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:
Dog attack
- A man told police he was bitten by a dog on his thigh while he was walking on the street about 7 p.m. Sept. 21 near 57th Street and County Line Road. The man reported the dog was on a leash, and the owner walked away. The case is pending.

- A resident in the 1200 block of Hawthorne Lane told police Wednesday that someone accessed the resident's bank account, attempted to transfer money and requested new cards. The suspect also accessed the resident's email account and attempted to solicit money from the resident's email contacts. No dollar loss was reported.
- Someone used another person's identity to open a bank account Aug. 25 at Hinsdale Bank & Trust, 25 E. First St. It was reported Friday. The case is pending.
