Dog Bites, Wallet Theft: Hinsdale Cops
Delivery employees bitten by dogs in different areas of Hinsdale.

HINSDALE, IL — In recent days, Hinsdale police responded to calls involving dog bites, thefts, damage and driving violations. Here are the latest reports from the Hinsdale police:
Dog bites
- A delivery employee reported being bitten by a dog while delivering a package to the owner about 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of North Garfield Avenue. The bite occurred on the owner's property, with the dog is contained by an invisible fence. The victim refused medical treatment.
- A delivery employee reported being bitten by a dog while delivering a package to the owner about 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Dalewood Lane. The bite occurred on the owners' property while the dog was in the yard.
Theft

- An unlocked car was burglarized between 3:55 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 10 block of East Ayres Avenue. The suspect stole the victim's cellphone and a wallet containing a driver's license and debit card. The victim reported fraudulent charges on the debit card that occurred at a gas station in Willow Springs for $3 and a clothing store in Bellwood for $930.
- Two skateboards were stolen outside of Casa Margarita, 25 E. Hinsdale Ave., between 5:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday.
Damage
- Suspects were seen on a surveillance camera damaging mailboxes shortly before 1 a.m. Monday in the 5800 block of South Grant Street.

- Luis Eduardo Escudero Arias, 27, of Chicago, was cited about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at Chicago Avenue and Oak Street on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and having no registration plate. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Hector Garcia, 35, of Chicago, was cited about 11 p.m. Thursday at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
