Domestic Battery, DUIs: Hinsdale Blotter

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

DUI

• Matthew Thomas Martin, 25, Schererville, Indiana, was arrested at 6:33 p.m. June 19 in the 500 block of West North Street for DUI-alcohol, driving while license suspended and illegal transportation of alcohol.
• Joshua Anderson, 27, Addison, was arrested at 4:11 a.m. June 25 at 55th and Elm streets for DUI-alcohol, disobeyed traffic control device and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Domestic Battery

• A known suspect made contact of an insulting or provoking nature with a family member at 9:35 p.m. June 21 at Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N. Oak St. The suspect did not cooperate with police and a warrant was issued for her arrest on June 27.

Violation of Order of Protection

• Charles Schultz, 32, of the 600 block of Mills, was arrested at 5:07 p.m. June 23 in the 600 block of Mills for violating an order of protection. Schultz was also in possession of an unknown substance in pill form and a clear pipe with brown residue; charges for the substances are pending lab results.

Illegal Consumption of Alcohol By Person Under 21

• Jakob Funkhouser, 18, Willowbrook, was arrested at 11:37 p.m. June 24 at Monroe and Fourth streets for unlawful possession of alcohol by person under 21.

Obstructing Identification

• A known suspect was stopped for improper lane use and gave police false identification at 7:15 p.m. June 21 in the 0-100 block of East Ogden. The suspect was later arrested in La Grange Park after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident, and it was discovered he gave Hinsdale Police his brother's information. A warrant was issued for his arrest on June 27.
