Don't Rock The Boat!

Register for the Clarendon Hills Park District's Lions Park Pool Boat Regatta Today!

Come sail away with the Clarendon Hills Park District! It's not too late to register for the Fourth Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta, set to begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 5 at the Lions Park Pool, 100 Byrd Court. Local families are being asked to build their very own sailing vessel - constructed only using cardboard and duct tape! These boats will then be put to the test in an obstacle course race in the lap lane at the aquatics center. There is a $20.00 fee for each craft entered in the contest. While parental help is encouraged in the construction of all vessels, only children, tweens and teens will participate in the actual race! All registration is being accepted at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center, 315 E. Chicago Avenue, or on-line at www.clarendonhillsparkdistrict.org. The registration cutoff date is Tuesday, August 1. For more information, please call the Clarendon Hlls Park District at 630-323-2626.
