Door-To-Door Scam In Clarendon Hills: Village
Solicitors falsely represent themselves as being with the local electric aggregation supplier, the village said.
CLARENDON HILLS, IL – Clarendon Hills officials said Tuesday they have been informed of door-to-door solicitors who falsely represent themselves as the local electric aggregation supplier.
The supplier, MC Squared Energy Services, never sends solicitors door to door or conducts sales outreach by phone, according to a village news release.
If solicitors represent themselves as being with MC2, residents are asked not to provide them with personal information, especially ComEd account numbers, the village said.

The information that MC2 is the local supplier is available on the ICC website. That's where the village believes the scammers learned to use the supplier's name to get homeowners to respond.
