Downtown Garfield Lot to use Pay Boxes and Mobile Pay for Parking

The usual parking meters at the Historic Downtown Hinsdale’s Garfield Lot will be replaced by two pay boxes, as of Oct. 7.

The lot is bordered by Garfield Street to the east, Village Place to the west and the backs of commercial buildings along Hinsdale Avenue and First Street, north and south, according to a village notice.

Visitors can also pay for parking in the Garfield lot with a smartphone app by the village’s new mobile pay vendor, Passport Parking.

Passport Parking mobile pay will also be available Oct. 7 for the Washington Lot, southeast of Washington Street and First Street, next to Hinsdale Middle School, according to the village notice.
