HINSDALE, IL – Two drivers were in critical condition Wednesday after a crash in Hinsdale, police said. The crash was reported about 10:30 a.m. on 55th Street, near Barton Lane. Police said the eastbound driver drifted across the double yellow line, striking a westbound car. One person was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, while the other went to Hinsdale Hospital. The DuPage Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigations Team, known as MERIT, is helping Hinsdale police with the investigation.
