Drug Induced Homicide Charges In Hinsdale Woman's Death
Bond for Wasim Rashan of Burr Ridge has been set at $1 million.

HINSDALE, IL – Bond has been set at $1 million for a Burr Ridge man charged with drug induced homicide in connection with the January death of 23-year-old Hinsdale resident Lauren Tandy. An arrest warrant for Wasim Rashan, 27 was issued on Wednesday and he appeared in bond court on Thursday, according to the Du Page County State's Attorney's Office. Rashan has been charged with both drug induced homicide and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
Prosecutors say Hinsdale police responded to Tandy's home on Jan. 14 and found her deceased. She was the apparent victim of a drug overdose, they said. A substance prosecutors say later tested positive for heroin/fentanyl was found there and a search of Rashan's home a day later turned up a few baggies that matched the ones found in the overdose victim's home.
