Drug Suspect Drives Into Hinsdale Yard: Cops

A substance that tests positive for cocaine was found in the car, police say.

HINSDALE, IL — An Algonquin man drove into a Hinsdale yard and ran out of his car last week, but officers caught him, according to a police report.

The incident happened about 9:45 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 800 block of West North Street, according to a police report. Oak Brook police assisted, and the man and another person were taken into custody in the 700 block of West Ogden Avenue, police said.

Robert E. Besterfeldt, 40, of Algonquin, and Elizabeth A. Besterfeldt, 39, of Cary, were arrested on McHenry County warrants. Police said they found a white powdery substance that field tested positive for cocaine in their vehicle. Charges are pending the results of a lab report.

The two were taken to the McHenry County Jail.
