DUI, Car Stolen: Hinsdale Police Reports

Hinsdale Police reports through Sept. 4.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Theft

  • Victim reported $300 missing from her wallet kept in her closet at Manorcare, 600 W. Ogden Ave. at 2:59 p.m. Aug. 29.

DUI

  • Luke Goodwin, 36, of the 400 block of West Eighth Street, was arrested at 2 a.m. Aug. 31 at County Line Road and First Street for DUI-alcohol and speeding.

Residential Burglary

  • Someone entered the victim's unlocked car and sole $100 and took a garage door opener at 4:40 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 400 block of East Ninth Street. Nothing was reported missing from the garage, and the opener was found in the yard.

  • A 2016 Acura MDX was stolen from a driveway in the 700 block of Bittersweet Lane sometime between 8 p.m. Aug. 29 and 7:10 a.m. Aug. 30.

Burglary to Vehicles

  • Someone entered unlocked cars in driveways in the 400 block of East Ninth Street, 700 block of South Oak, 700 block of McKinley and the 600 block of Dalewood sometime between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 6 a.m. Aug. 30. Police were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle report in the 400 block of East Ninth, and a black sedan was observed accelerating from the area at a high speed. A messenger bag, designer purse and a laptop were stolen from the cars.

Fleeing or attempting to elude peace officer

  • Miguel Enriquez Becerra, 31, of Brookfield, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 31 at Ogden and Woodland avenues for disobeying traffic control device, improper lane use, uninsured motor vehicle, invalid temporary visitor driver's license, disobeying a police officer, fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, and reckless driving.

Obstructing identification

  • Yecara Weathersby, 28, of Dolton, was arrested at 10:09 p.m. Sept. 1 at York Road and Ogden Avenue for expired license plate, uninsured vehicle, obstructing identification and driving while license suspended.

Harassment through electronic communication

  • August Esposito, 19, of Clarendon Hills, was charged Sept. 2 with harassment through electronic communication and violation of an order of protection after sending messages of a harassing nature to an ex-girlfriend.
