DUI, Cars Broken Into: Hinsdale Police Reports

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Attempted burglary to vehicle

  • The victim saw an unknown person shining a flashlight into his car while it was parked in his driveway in the 500 block of North Washington at 9:05 p.m. Sept. 26. The person did not enter the unlocked car and nothing was reported missing. The offender fled the area on foot, and the victim was unable to provide a description of suspect.

  • An unknown person entered a car sometime between 5:20 and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Veeck Park, 701 Chicago Ave., and stole a computer bag containing a laptop, work ID and designer sunglasses. The victim was unsure if the vehicle was locked, there were no signs of forced entry.
  • The driver side window of a car was smashed sometime between 5:35 and 6 p.m. Sept. 26 at Veeck Park, 701 Chicago Ave. A purse, containing a wallet and credit cards, was stolen. Victim reported unauthorized charges were made using her cards in the amounts of $1018.17, $542.96, and $504.94 at a department store in Hodgkins.

DUI

  • Tracy Koblich, 51, of Downers Grove, was arrested at 4:52 p.m. Sept. 29 at County Line Road and 55th Street for DUI-alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after being involved in a three-car crash.

Disorderly conduct

  • Michael Gradisek, 49, of Willowbrook, was charged with disorderly conduct at 6:47 p.m. Sept. 29 at Hinsdale and Garfield avenues. A witness reported the suspect urinated into a trash can inside the train depot.
