DUIs, Car Burglaries: Hinsdale Police Blotter

Garage door opener stolen from car and was used in the middle of the night, police say.

HINSDALE, IL — The latest Hinsdale blotter includes DUI arrests and car burglaries. The following information comes from the Hinsdale Police Department:

  • Someone forged $8,035 in checks against the business checking account of Lamantia Design and Remodeling, 20 E. Ogden Ave, on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8. The forgery was reported Dec. 10.
  • Jennifer Estevez, 34, of Hinsdale, was arrested Dec. 11 at Madison and 57th streets on a charge of driving with a revoked license. She was released to appear in court.
  • A car sustained damage between 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 9 in the 10 block of South Clay Street. It was labeled as a hit-and-run crash. The vehicle was damaged on the front driver's side quarter panel.
  • Two cars were burglarized between 2 and 3:10 a.m. Dec. 11 in the 900 block of Cleveland Road. The first victim reported that someone rummaged through the interior. That victim alerted her neighbor, who discovered someone entered a car on that property and stole $10. Both cars were unlocked.
  • John Rhead, 57, of Evergreen Park, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in the 10 block of North Grant Street on charges of DUI, disobeying a traffic device and transportation of open alcohol by driver. An officer stopped Rhead for disobeying a stop sign. Rhead submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. An open bottle of vodka was found inside his car. He was released to appear in court.
  • Patrick J. McPartlin, 54, of Oak Brook, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at 55th Street and Interstate 294 on a charge of having no valid driver's license. He was released to appear in court.
  • Jesus A. Hernandez, 24, of Aurora, was arrested at 5:30 a.m. Dec. 14 at 55th Street and Interstate 294 on charges of DUI and speeding. He was stopped for speeding and submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released to appear in court.
  • A car in the 200 block of East Eighth Street was burglarized about 1:30 a.m. Dec. 15. A suspect entered the victim's unlocked car and rummaged through the interior. The victim reported a garage door opener and loose coins were missing. The victim received an alert at 1:31 a.m. that her garage door was opened and immediately closed. There were no signs of entry into the garage and nothing was missing.
