HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Police Department on Wednesday released its latest reports, including DUI arrests, car burglaries and a case where a man is accused of refusing to pay his cab fare. The following information comes from the police:

A package containing a purse valued at $244 was stolen from a porch shortly before 2 p.m. Nov. 14 in the 800 block of South Thurlow Street. The package was a delivery.

A laptop valued at $1,500 was stolen from a vehicle between 7 p.m. Nov. 26 and 6 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 600 block of South Thurlow Street. The suspect entered the vehicle while it was parked in a driveway. The owner was unsure if the vehicle was locked and discovered damage to the weather stripping around a passenger side door.

Police were dispatched to a report of four males throwing bags of leaves in the street about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 27 in the 300 block of North Garfield. When officers arrived, they saw a street sign, a pole, a home address plate and a number of bags of leaves in the street.

Julius Jasiukenas, 27, of Villa Park, was arrested on charges of DUI and use of unsafe tires about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at Ogden Avenue and Route 83. The suspect was stopped for an equipment violation and submitted to testing that showed he was over the legal blood-alcohol limit. He was released to appear in court.

Lonnie Denzel Naylor, 24, of Elk Grove Village, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and improper display of registration about 10 p.m. Dec. 1 at 55th and Grant streets. He was released to appear in court.

Jose M. Cano-Avalos, 34, of Chicago, was arrested on charges of DUI and driving on the wrong side of the road shortly before 1 a.m. Nov. 28 at Seventh Street and County Line Road. The suspect submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal blood-alcohol limit.

Ping Zheng Qiu, 50, of Woodridge, was arrested on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license and use of an unsafe tire about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 1. The suspect refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol limit. He was released to appear in court.

A hit-and-run accident happened between 7 a.m. and noon Nov. 23 at the Hinsdale Central High School parking lot, 5500 S. Grant St. The owner reported that someone hit her vehicle while it was parked in the student lot and damaged the front side of her vehicle.

Someone entered a victim's car between 2 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Dec. 2 in the village commuter parking lot. Camera equipment valued at $810 and a guitar were stolen. The victim reported that one of the locks of her car is faulty and may not have been locked.

Ronald L. Vagnoni, 55, of Alsip, was arrested on a charge of theft of labor or services Nov. 19 in the 200 block of East Ogden Avenue. The incident happened Oct. 22. The suspect refused to pay a cab fare of $171.

Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
