DUIs, Cars Stolen: Hinsdale Police Reports

Hinsdale Police reports through Dec. 18.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

DUI

  • Dustin Nava, 34, of Brookfield, was arrested at 1:38 a.m. Dec. 18 at Ogden and Oak for DUI-alcohol, speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol.
  • William Cianci, 37, of Willowbrook, was arrested at 5:02 a.m. Dec. 16 in the 900 block of North York Road for DUI-alcohol, speeding and disobeying a traffic control device (red light).

Theft

  • A box of purses was reported missing after victim hired a moving company in the 300 block of South Lincoln sometime between 12 p.m. Sept. 14 and 5 p.m. Oct. 20.
  • A large Christmas ornament decorated was stolen from a front yard in the 700 block of West North Street sometime between 4 and 5 p.m. Dec. 10. Loss is $145.

Motor Vehicle Theft

  • Joshua Smith, 20, of Chicago, was arrested at 2:56 a.m. Dec. 11 in the 900 block of Cleveland Road for aggravated possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim's car was stolen from her driveway overnight, and the car was found at 69th and Crandon in Chicago. Smith was taken to Cook County Jail.
  • An unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 700 block of East Seventh Street was entered and a garage door opener was used to open the garage sometime between 12 and 11:41 a.m. Dec. 11. An unknown person then stole a 2015 Mercedes ML400 that was parked inside the garage unlocked and with the keys inside.
