DUIs, Package Stolen: Hinsdale Police Reports

Hinsdale Police reports through Nov. 20.

The following items were taken from the Hinsdale police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Burglary to vehicle

  • Cash was stolen out of an unlocked car at Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N. Oak St., sometime between 7 p.m. Nov. 9 and 2:25 p.m. Nov. 10. Loss is $60.
  • Two paris of sunglasses and a phone charger were stolen from an unlocked car in the 200 block of South Adams sometime between 6 p.m. Nov. 16 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 17. The two pairs of sunglasses were valued at $280 and the charger was $20.

DUI

  • Amy Grant, 27, of Berwyn, was arrested at 1:12 a.m. Nov. 13 at Walnut Street and Garfield Avenue for aggravated DUI, driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol and obstructing identification.
  • Afroz Hai, 47, of Brookfield, Wisconsin, was arrested at 2:29 a.m. Nov. 17 at I-294 and Ogden for DUI-alcohol and speeding.
  • Justinas Auksciunas, 45, of Western Springs, was arrested at 2:20 a.m. Nov. 18 at Route 83 and Ogden Avenue for DUI-alcohol, operating of uninsured vehicle and disobeying traffic control signal.

Theft

  • A package was stolen from a porch in the 5600 block of South County Line Road sometime between 6:49 and 6:53 p.m. Nov. 14. Contents of the package valued at $62.

Burglary

  • Tools were stolen from a house under construction in the 400 block of South Park sometime between 5 p.m. Nov. 13 and 8 a.m.m Nov. 14. Tools valued at $1,600.

Criminal trespass to vehicle

  • An unknown man entered the victim's car while he was using the air pump to fill his tire at BP Gas Station, 149 E. Ogden Ave., at 8:05 p.m. Nov. 19. The man exited the car after the victim confronted him. The man was described as between 16-24 years old and wearing a black hoodie.
