E-Bike Stolen From Unlocked Hinsdale Garage: Cops
In another case, a DUI suspect faces a charge of felony meth possession, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:
Theft
- An electric bike valued at $2,800 was stolen July 2 from an unlocked garage in the 10 block of North Quincy Street. The theft was reported 11 days later.
- Checks were stolen between June 25 and July 1 from a house in the 900 block of South Vine Street. The theft was reported a week later. The suspect forged the checks and made fraudulent bank transactions. The case is pending.

- Qasem N. Bashir, 40, of Bridgeview, was arrested about 4 a.m. Thursday at Route 83 and Ogden Avenue on charge of felony methamphetamine possession, DUI (drugs), improper lane use, driving an uninsured car and failure to signal when changing lanes. Police said Bashir had drug paraphernalia that contained a white crystal substance that field-tested for meth. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 5600 block of South Park Avenue told police July 9 that someone accessed the resident's personal information that was compromised by a cyberattack. The case is pending.
