Electronics Recycling Event Hosted In Burr Ridge, La Grange Residents Can Participate

The recycling event will take place in Burr Ridge on Oct. 7.

HINSDALE, IL — Residents looking to recycle electronics can do so at a Burr Ridge Electronics Recycling Collection. The event is sponsored by the village of Burr Ridge, eWorks and DuPage County. Residents and small businesses can participate in the event from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 7 at Burr Ridge Public Works, 451 Commerce St.

It will be $25 to recycle a TV with an under 21 inch screen, and $35 for a TV with a 21 inch screen and over. Among the accepted items are: PCs, modems, printers, monitors, terminals, mouse, keyboards, cables, scanners, telephones, TVs, VCRs, toasters, microwaves, hair dryers, cameras and power tools.

Items not accepted include: large appliances, alkaline batteries, smoke detectors and hazardous and chemical waste.
