There’s nothing like a little Oom-pa-pa music. The Frank "K" Duo will entertain at an Oktoberfest party at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at The Birches Assisted Living, 215 55th St., Clarendon Hills.
The duo includes Fran Rinaldo of Glen Ellyn on drums and vocals and Frank Yakoubek of Morton Grove on synthesizer and accordion. Frank will wear his lederhosen, and the duo will play authentic German music.
Yakoubek has been a full-time, professional musician for 45 years. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and for three years, he was a part-time band director in the Chicago Public Schools. He has 50 years teaching experience and continues to teach privately.
Rinaldo has performed as a professional lead vocalist and drummer for 22 years in rock groups, hotel dance groups, and ballroom orchestras.
